Great Chinese food at good prices!

The rebuilt Tan Wong hasn't changed. Pretty Americanized and generally bland- tasting food in generous quantities. It's mall food court Chinese in a restaurant setting.

YAY! Tan Wong has re-opened after the fire! Happy to see my old friends there and found the food as excellent as ever. The new set-up is very nice. Seriously this is great food folks. Best of this style in the area! ‘Glob glob’ oh sorry I should not write with my mouth full! Such great food! Yum. Clean nice family business. 5 stars plus!

AMAZING!! Food is so fresh, tatse is incredible....definitely not like the typically fast food chinese. My go to for sure!!!

Stopped by for some takeout Wonton soup for a sick child. She loved it. * UPDATE * We tried Tan Wong for take out dinner tonight and it was very good. They have a great no touch pick up system set up. Their General Tso's chicken is better than most and actually has some heat. The ginger chicken has great ginger flavor. Overall a good experience and reasonably priced. We'll be back.

Now that they've re-opened after the tragic fire in 2018, I'm more than happy to say the awesome quality is exactly the same as it was before. Everyone I've taken here agree's that it's the best Chinese around. Ranging from the usual takeout to table side carved duck. Anything you get you will love!

Best Chinese Food in FARMINGTON Valley.

I was charged the dinner menu price even though I ordered from the lunch menu. My order was extremely high for one person and I was told the menu online is an old one. Seems a little dishonest given they know that. Disappointing.

Great food

The restaurant is pretty clean inside, the service is friendly, there's a a good choice of options from vegetarian to Seafood to meat. Pricing seems very fair, and the various food I've had here all tasted fresh, maybe a little bit heavy on the sauce, and with a little bit of a black pepper taste to it. But I don't mind that on any kind of red or white meat so I'm okay with that.

Walked in for to-go order, order was fulfilled very fast and the food was very good. Had the Chicken and Cashews with Fried Rice. The brown sauce with the chicken has a nice blend of spices and isn't too heavy, better than most Chinese I've had, and the fried rice was very good too. Highly recommended.

So happy that Tan Wong has reopened. Tried other Chinese restaurants, but not one could come close. Welcome back. 😁😁👌💞

I’m giving a 5 Star review because I want to see a local family owned business succeed ,but read this ownership/management: Zucchini in Kung Pao Chicken?! Yes, there is a global pandemic going on and there IS a food shortage but Zucchini on Kung Pao? If this is what you want to serve, fine, but it isn’t what someone wants when they order a Kung Pao Chicken. Take it off the menu if you don’t have the right stuff. Ain’t nobody want no zucchini in their Chinese.

Fresh, fast and spicy!You can measure the quality of certain dishes by the sugar content. More sugar means less fresh. Here, food was not sugary sweet.

Best chicken and garlic sauce I've had in a long long time. Place is back up and running, and still delicious. Be patient, they're working fast as they can with some new staff after the reopening.

Upscale Chinese food for regular price. Great food and nice dining area. I think their food is the best for the price in CT. I agree that they should think again about their music selection. I don't mind listening Chinese music but their selection is too slow and not the best choice personally. Beside of that, I wish to give six stars if I could.

Best Chinese restaurant in the area! The service is great and the people are super nice and accommodating. Food is inexpensive and absolutely delicious, great for a family. For my family we each order what we want then share so it’s really a great deal. They give the crisps with duck sauce before you eat and a fortune cookie after so it’s a good option for little ones. So glad they reopened and really the new place has a great aesthetic; very cozy yet modern. Great for kids, family, and a quick yet surprisingly filling meal

Everything tasted watered down, the dishes with meat and veggies were made up of mostly onions.

11/10 will dine here again. I came and ordered water. The water was 11/10 and tasted really good. I left a 100 dollar tip thats how good it was. 11/10 will come back here and order water, this place has the BEST WATER IN THE WORLD. THE BEST THING ON THE MENU IS WATER!
